Mêts â Dêts
Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund
Mêts â Dêts is a project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for adults with learning disabilities who live in Gwynedd and have an interest in improving their skills to form and maintain social, romantic and intimate relationships
The Mêts â Dêts project is a 12-month initiative that builds on the successful four-year Sparc programme. It is designed to meet a clearly identified community need; as participants desire more opportunities to connect socially and develop the knowledge and confidence required to sustain relationships.
We deliver innovative relationships and dating workshops alongside semi-structured social events. Workshops cover core topics such as communication, healthy boundaries and consent, and as well as practical dating skills such as how to flirt or prepare a ‘date night.
By combining structured learning with safe social opportunities, the project aims to empower participants, improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, and promote a culture of inclusion and healthy relationships across Gwynedd. Social events, held in accessible community venues, allow participants to practice these new skills in real-life settings while promoting visibility of people with learning disabilities in everyday settings

Jiwsi
Funded by BCUHB
Project Jiwsi delivers needs led, co-produced, developmental programmes of relationships and sex education (RSE) with children and young people aged up to 25 years old who live in North Wales and who face additional challenges in their lives.
The project also delivers training programmes for BCUHB and partner organisation staff to develop their confidence and skills in working with vulnerable young people and sexual health.
We run a RSE practitioners' network; The Jiwsi Network, for professionals across North Wales to share and develop their RSE practice. As part of this we hold free practice development seminars to develop knowledge, skills, confidence and ongoing networking and informal support structures.
